A new beginning

Well I'm just over 4 weeks post op and I'm still having days which are hurrendous but today is NYE & 2014 is gonna be my year :-) wishing u all a very happy, healthy & prosperous new year xx

3 weeks post op

Well things are going ok..I'm still getting good and bad days but it's still early days. I have a follow up in jan to see how things are going, so fingers crossed things will have settled down and I'll be able to get back to work, be it part time or full time. I can see 2014 being my year!

So all that's left for me to say for this year is merry christmas xx

16 days post op

So im still having up and down days but stuff is definitely settling down.mornings are the biggest problem with my head at the mo and I'm getting some pain while the shunt and tubing is settling in but things are looking up :-)

9 days post op

Ok so things are adjusting slowly..still got crappy dizziness but the pain is settling down. I didn't sleep very well last night and I'm paying for it today but my bestest is coming to see me tomorrow, soooo excited!

Fed up :-(

I think I have low pressure headaches :-( it hurts so much & I feel so dizzy. I've been told to let everything adjust and I have a follow up appt on jan 8th so will see how things go. I blatantly didn't mentally prepare myself as well as I could have done for the after affects :/

I'm hoommeee!! This shunt is deffo helping my head..pain gets better every day :-) am home now to rest for 6 weeks under drs orders :-)

5 days post op...

So my head is feeling so much better..I have a lot of dizziness but that's a very common side affect of this type of surgery. My neuro has been round tonight and I'm going home in the morning with strict instructions to rest and take it easy..so that I will do :-)

3 days post op

well its 3 days since my op and I feel like I've turned a corner today. I have a lot of staples in and a bit of pain but my surgeon said that it will be where everything is adjusting. I'm gonna get up and go for a walk a bit later when my dad gets here coz I need to be mobile before I can go home. Things are looking up tho :-)
